Question about 240 Kit.

Is there a big difference between Vitos 240 kit or just getting an LA Sleeve and a wieseco 240 piston. I know Vitos comes with some porting and head work, but besides that would I really notice a difference.
 
Putting a bb sleeve in a stock jug is no good IMO.The vitos bb kit has a 12 port design which stock cylinders do not.If you are looking to spend less and save a few have your stock cylinder ported and if money is available get a 3mm stroker crank.Just remember a ported stock cylinder will outperform a unported bb cylinder any day.

I built a sleeve kit wit a +3mm crank. With the right set up on pump gas it was 43hp with a flat torque curve for 3000 RPM. Sleeve kits can make great power.

just spend the money and get the real 240bb kit, go with f7 if you got the money or vitos, either is good, haven't really heard anything bad of them

yeah i went through this, by the time you pay for the kit(250), have the sleeve pressed in(80), and you have to get the ports matched (port work maybe 125) and having the stock head modified for the bb kit is not cheap either...its actually cheaper to fork out 500 and bolt on the vitos kit
 
damn was just pricing parts for sleeve job, didnt know i needed to have sleeve ported to match up to the cylinder, or that the head needs modified for a 240. what needs done to the head?
 
ahh ic, dude selling the ones for $499 is a bad salesman..... i was planning to buy the one for $599 because the cheaper guy doesnt mention the 12 port, figured you were paying an extra $100 for the 12 port lol
 
well good luck getting one now, they are on back order, from vitos, go with the f7 or duncan, price em all out man and look for ur best bet
 
i gotta get my girls blaster ready to ride first anyway. im still debating weather i want to go 240 or just stock bore with a bad ass port job,
 
Well then I guess my next question is which 240 kit. I like the price of Vitos but should I go with a Firebreather?
