i was riding in the snow today and the i give it any kinda gas the motor runs on it own..only when the rpms come up... if i don't hit the power band its fine.is it my carb or an air leak??? and if i try and shut it done it doesn't. shut off.. its pissing me off... if i drop the clutch the rpms come down.. and then its fine again... anyone have any ideas

its only 24degs out... do you guys really think this is the problem...?and if so.. what jet should i switch to?
its was the cable sticking..on the TORS.... my plug looks good... its just a little wet and a nice brown color. heres a pic
i was wearing gloves the ones i use for sking when its -15degs... but riding at 40mph in 16degs weather its only -8degs..
im guessing that the cold air was making it too lean like the other guys said and id try going down like maybe 5 on the main or a size on the pilot, try messin with the needle a lil too.
I think you mean go up on the main.
Your lucky it was -13 here when I woke up but now its a nice toasty 1 degree=))
LOL, I just let my dog out and he stuck his tongue to his fence post and it got stuck! He pulled it off but now he wont stop licking everything.
only -8 degrees?? thats cold as sh** you are nuts to even go out of your house, 22 here in washington, cold enough for me!
I even go outside (with snow on the ground) with no gloves, or jacket, or sweatshirt, making snowballs and having 5 minute conversations with people.
my quad used to do that but it was the throttle cable not the jets... it was 25 below last night with windchill only thing i rode was my bed
ahahha yep ive worn pants twice this winter. not counting the snowpants when i ride
ok, here in ny today is was about -1..to maybe 2deg...me and my friends ran down the road in our skivvies
