Ok guys a few of you know me but I'll list my mods and problem. Vito's 240 kit bored to 72.25mm, V3 reeds ,PWK 28 (KX85 bored to 30mm), crappy pipe (KDX200),Vito's stuffer stock stroke crank. No porting. 13X30 sprockets. Bike diet of -150 pounds by stuffing the Blaster motor in my 1978 DT175. Dynoed at 24.5 HP. Now the problem. When I had the carb machined the shop re-jetted the carb and used a needle of unknown size. No markings at all. In the i notch lean postition it runs really well but is just a bit to lean as the engine heats up at cruise (cylinder head temp gauge). It cools off at idle or under full throttle. If I move the needle back to the center I get studdering and it loads up. It stays cool but just runs like crap. I need a needle to start out with that I know where I'm starting.
