putting case together

What is the best stuff to use to bond the case halves together. Is Yamabond the way to go? What else have you guys had good luck with. My buddie says a good quality silicone will work. I'm just looking for some opinions on bonding these case halves together. Buy the way, I've already thrown those damn Phillips head bolts away that the factory uses to bolt them together, Allens going back in.

yamabond is the way to go man. there is somethin else people use but i can't remember what it is

I use yamabond 5 for the case halves. The case halves must be lapped before you can use it but it works better IMHO than the silicone type sealants

I use high temp Anaerobic flange sealer! I call it Grape Jelly!

hondabond is good stuff. I've used it on multiple transmissions and crank cases on my vehicles over time. It made its way onto the blaster when it had a air leak..
