Protecting my investment with Whitey.

The more and more i hear about the dmc the more i want to try it. I lovr the top end but id like to see how low end dmc petforms..

I've been thinking the same thing man, I keep hearing how Toomey is good for speed but not grunt, it really is hard to keep from flipping back in 1st through 4th if im riding hard. all this is making me seriously curious how fun the DMC would be.

2 heat cycles are done. I bought some of that peel coat stuff to see if I want to Black Out the Blaster. I did the rims, and front bumper.

I'm open to suggestions.

Match the black of the bumper to the flatter/more matte color of the a-arms and it will look good.

how narly does that dmc sound bud?

want some reference pictures??
i just noticed how similar yours is starting to look like my ole white nasty -- you should really trim your rear fenders like the second pic here

It sounds like I remembered it Herp.

The peel coat was still wet in that pic. It actually dried a matte Black. The cool thing with this stuff is you can remove it easily. For $6 it was worth it to see if it looked cool.

I think I'm going to end up doing all of it in black, I like the look.

i have painted all mine black as well.
only thing that sucks is paint does chip off and need to freshen it up once in awhile.
and if you try scrubbing it forget it lol
and do both inner and outer rim:D

I might try and get it all powder coated over the winter

My rear rims are so banged up it isn't funny. I still have a set of stock steel rims I might try to get done.

All back together. Heat cycles done and retourqued everything.

I took a spin around the block, feels really tight.

Jetting is next. I changed back to a 32.5 pilot, needle bottom clip, and a 320 main for now. It definitely felt a bit rich on the needle and coming onto the main. Good thing is I'm off all next week to get it dialed in.

I got the insides of the rims done and the grab bar. My swing arm's powdercoating is flaking off really bad. I'm going to have to send it out over the winter to get it done right with everything else.

Not a bad experiment for $6 with the peel coat.

I have experienced that the clip can come up one in the warmer weather.

By the way, great looking Blaster.

Mine runs in the lowest position in winter Fred, but in summer it comes up to 4 otherwise the transition between 3/4 needle throttle and the main jet is not smooth.
