Ok Just got the bike Ran it today for the first ran ok..Then it started Bogging and wouldnt start..finaly just changed the Plug it was Pretty gas soaked. But now i think my quad is flooded..It Wont start it almost wants to but wont. And it Keeps backfiring REALLY loud..What do i have to do when i flooded my quad?I heard tip it on its side and let it drain from the carbs is this true or is there an easier way?.its a 2001 blaster..thanks guys Also im new to Quads..But i seem to be running rich becuz the plug i took out was soaked with gas and Exhaust smokes Decent ammount and the exhaust is all black looks like fuel in there..is that a sign of running rich? and also how can i correct it?

if its flooded you can shut off the gas and keep swaping dry plugs in till she starts then when you get her running turn on the gas..

yea were have been trying with the new plug in..But with the gas on but it Bangs like a mother Trucker when it backfires..How do you take the carbs outta the 01's whats all gotta be disconnected and such and whats the Stock Main jet size in these?also heard once that if you Boil the carbs in water that it will get them REALLY clean. What does everyone think?

this is what i would do for the flooding NOT THE BACKFIRING, i would drain the carb, set the thingy in OFF and theres a lil screw at the base of the carb, open it and it should drain, after that close it up, DO NOT PUT IT BACK IN ON, remove the spark plug and kick start it 2 times or 3, then put the plug back, thats what i do and it works for me.

if its wet then it prolly wont fire .. umm if you have some old plugs try them .. umm the stock main is 230.. just clean the carb with some carb cleaner.. did you try unhooking the TORS?.. to take the carb out just loosein up the 2 clamps around the carb and it should slide out..

mine was flooded so bad one time I ended up flipping it upside down with all 4 wheels in the air turning off the fuel petcock and sticking a golf tee in the vent line then I put it in gear and with the plug out spun the rear wheels till all the gas had sprayed out. that seemed to work pretty well for me.

Isnt the throttle Attached to the Carbs?.Also darealblaster that screw you speak about on the carb.If im sittting on the quad Would that screw be on the Shifter Side or the Clutch side. And what is a TORS?Also.as weird as this sound I am NOT finding the Idle adjust screw Is there supposes to be one?.is it in the choke Were the hell did it go?No signs of one even being there..Weird huh?where exactly is it located maybe i wasnt looking hard enough

i think i found my problem im a jackass..When i got gas in it earlier I just filled it with straight gas.didnt mix it..A buddy of mine just came and helped me look at it.But tomorrow were gonna drain it and fire it up...any got a good way to drain all of it out of the system?

id agree with u , remove four screws that hold tank cover and tank unplug fuel line and drain or just add oil to gas unless ur blaster has oil pump intact look under seat and see if there is a oil container/reservoir with blue oil in it if so u dont add oil to gas it adds oil itself

yes my blaster dont have that oil tank in the back under the seat I have to add it myself.Im still learning..im sure im not the only one who did this mistake.
