Hey guys im looking at some boyesen super stock or power reeds, i cant get the rad valve or vf3 cuz i cant spend much anymore on my blaster, do these reeds bolt right onto the stock reed cage and do they give you better acceleration and throttle response over the stock reeds, btw which is better?
Thanks

They bolt in the stock unless they say rad valve replacements. They make 3 types. worst to best 1.super stock 2.power reeds 3.pro series are supposed to be the best. hickskateboarder said his power reeds made it hit much harder in the reed comparison thread.

Not sure from what I read they are the 2nd best option from the vf3's. I read some forums they say they really help bottom to mid a lot. I have some brand new. I will report how well when my piston arrives and hopefully this weekend I can ride.

I have the boyesen power reeds i felt more snap in the power band but i did the reed spacer to then the head pipe about a week later "power reeds"

I have the power reeds and dont have any complaints. When I had my fmf fatty on there it would hit pretty hard when getting to the power area. I put a reed spacer on later and it kinda mellowed the transition.

I got a toomey pipe now and it hits pretty hard again, but I'm gonna be looking to get some vf3's in the future just to see what the buzz is about.

well whats making it hit hard is the 34mm carb

oh haha I guess the stocker carb isnt that good? What main jet are you running in your carb? I think we have the same keihein. Mine is a 142. It was running perfect with the fmf pipe and since the toomey install it keeps fouling the plug.

I should have put a new plug in it when installing the new pipe but I didnt.

Well i just got the power reeds, and i noticed a difference over stock, with the reed spacer, and my carb, but that wasn't even on my toomey pipe, cause i just got it fixed two days ago. I haven't even had time to rejet yet, you said you're running a 142 blastapole? I gotta see what size i'm at, i think with my stupid DG pipe i was runnin like a 138 or somethin like that. but i can tell it's a little lean now, so i haven't really rode it yet
