Powder coating stock parts?

I stripped my blaster and now going to get it sandblasted and powder coated, do i need to remove the bushings and grease fittings from the a arms or will they be fine. Can i reuse the bushings if i remove them?

I would not get the a-arms powder coated at all. theres a little plastic ring in the ball joint that at the temperatures you have to bake the parts at, may melt. Making the a-arm useless.

i agree, some are PC'n a-arms, no long term reports of failures yet, but they are coming IMO.
hopefully not at 60mph thru the trees

I can tell you two of my friends powdercoated their arms on their banshee's last spring and within two months they had significant play in the balljoints and had to buy new arms.

just have them painted, put alot of clear on it and it will help with chipping.

I used this (or something like it) on my son's lower a arms. Just sprayed bottom and front edge : Great deal on SEM Paints 39803 at ToolTopia.com

Also I do believe there is a powder process that uses lights to cure that is at a lower temp
