Potential Owner

Yes, I realize that. The previous owner did NOT have it blocked off and when I parked it in my garage there was a half dollar sized gas puddle underneath the nipple. MY question is, is gas supposed to drip out of that hole when it isn't plugged up. I'm not too knowledgeable on carbs so that's why I ask. I just want to make sure there is nothing internally wrong with the carb. And I need to know what size jet for just an airbox lid off and a uni filter.

gas was coming out the tiny nipple on top or the bigger copper colored one on the bottom? either way no its no tsupposed to do that

ok, well thats your overflow and its supposed to be open. take the plug off and put a little piece of hose mabey 3.5 inches long on it instead. the little puddle of gas is most likely caused by your floats being out of adjustment. mine did this just the other day so i took my carb off, took the bowl off the bottem and removed the little pin holding the floats in and sanded it back to smooth. check for holes in the floats as well. there is a little metal tab that touches the needle going up in your carb, bend that up just a TINY bit. that should take care of the problem. the tiny nipple on top of the carb on the lright side as you sit on it is your oil injection nipple, that must be capped off so it cannot suck air.
