Just outside of fairbanks ak
I'm only about halfway done so far but here is a teaser pic.** As a side note I only put the silencer back on for the pic.

This was done with out paint stripper, I've been sanding the old paint off.......which sucks

you do know since that is tell it is going to rust ,and the fact that it gets hot will make it rust faster i believe

i guess it kinda looks cool. it kinda looks like a fart-can that goes on a civic. maybe a couple more shots of sanding and some high heat polish or clear coat would make it look better. good job though

yes they make high heat clear coat, the same clear i use on my plasctics since its gas and oil resistant, duplicolor engine enamal clear.. heat resistant to? 500?-700? id have to look at the can, but it will holt up to the sielncer, or a mag/ aluminum polish will work just fine, granted you will have to re ploish it now and then..

cool idea, work with what ya got!!! thats how i do it!!! nothing wrong with the stock silencer, its un capped, and will flow about the same as a slip on, just not as nice of sound, put a black front pipe one and fk with ppl! lol

after your almost done with the sanding and polishing, before your ready to hit it with metal polish, take some 0000 steel wool to it, that will pull some of the fine scratches out

id p'c your frame but i guess in alaska theirs not many ppl that do that? or do like 2-3 coats than like 2 coats of clear
