I have a 2003 yamaha blaster i recently took to mudfest(big open place with a bunch a people riding their atvs through the mud). while i was their i hit a hole and flipped it a few times but it started right back up and i rode away with no problems. then when i get home i take the bike off the trailer and start it and ride down my street. the next day i took it out to wash it( caked with mud everywhere) and it started fine before and after i washed it. then i was riding it down the street the other day it was riding fine like it always has and i took a fairly fast left turn like in an effort to slide and the bike died and i havent been able to get it started since. i changed the plug, cleaned the carb out with carb cleaner and sprayed into all the jets(didnt have compressor available) and i checked for spark(had a spark but didnt look like a big good spark). really need help friends are going out this weekend and i know its something dumb that went wrong please help!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum! I suggest checking compression and checking the air filter to make sure it isn't all caked up with mud

parking brake sensor could be on the frits that caked on mud may have thrown it for a loop. bypass it all together. check your wires, coil, etc. mud isn't necessarily a good thing.

thanks for the help ya i did clean the air filter and air box also. kinds seems like an electrical problem due to the fact that it has NEVER NOT started on first or second kick and then i take a fast turn and it dies.... i also tryed push starting it and didnt even get a pop.. it blows my mind very frustrating

thanks JonS that sounds like something it might be.. would any of those stop the bike from getting spark? also my kill switch does not work but the key does and the oil pre-mix resovoir is not hooked up i run premix straight in the tank

Check all your wires. Make sure Ll the. On ections are clean and right including all the grounds. Check to make sure theres no bare spots on the wires that could be touching a ground.

By died, do you mean just stopped, or siezed up?

Check compression!

Is the oil injection still operating or has it been removed?

I sure hope you did not create air in the oiling system when it flipped.

thanks dakotademon7 i didnt understand your second sentence it said make sure.... and thanks to you mudrunner i will check those wires now

Blaaster if your talking about the premix resovor in the back of the bike it does not work and it does seem like the compression is a little low i will check. but the thing is when i go to start it when its cold it will give a little pop and act like it wants to start only on the first kick from then on its nothing

Tors still hooked up? If so search 03+ tors delete. X2 on park brake. Both systems can (will) affect spark when malfunctioning. Starting at the stator check ALL wires, connectors, and grounds clean, dry, tight. Clean all switches inside. Check that where coil bolts to frame is bare, clean metal. Inspect coil, wire, and cap. Trim 1/4" off coil wire and install cap.

is the tors the silver box above the throttle? if so yes it is hooked up.... where is the park brake sensor and how can i eliminate it?

there should be some wires going to one of the levers on the handlebars. unplug that and see if it'll start.

I would also make sure that the flywheel key hasn't sheared. reeds would be another possibility.

thanks for all your help ive been messin with it today i unscrewed this little box on the right side of the motor and there was a piece inside i unscrewed it looked like a little carburator but had oil in it and there was a shaft going into it from the motor but when i unscrewed the box it had alot of mud and it was a little wet im not sure if that would affect anything

ya i was trying to describe the piece i didnt know a name to call it but the bike is really acting like it wants to start and what about the reeds should i take them off and clean them or what
