Please help! I destroyed my suspension!

HI all.

I recently had everything powdercoated due to major rebuild.


But i dis-assebled the springs from the shocks and sent them for powdercoat as well...

But i think they are ruined? They properly wasnt that happy being in a oven on 200+ degrees celsius ... I cannot move the rear one ATALL! It is completly jammed fully compressed! .. I even tried to toe it after my car with a robe in the shock and the other end to a pole.. It is impossible to move it up or down..and it need to be extended in order to get the springs on?!



SO my big question is :


I have to look now for some used shocks.. I will look for Blaster shocks of corse..

BUT WHAT other custom shocks can i use both front and rear? If I wanted to upgrade it a little? ex. will a Raptor 700 rear shock fit? a Raptor 450 ? or another dirt bike 450 ?

It has to be a bolt-on solution.. i dont wanna do more custom atm.

EDIT: Dumb me! .. I just figured something out! i dont think they are ruined afterall .. BUT i still want to hear what other shocks can be fit a blaster..

for the rear 400ex,450r yfz 450,z400/dvx400/kfx400 pretty much same as the 400ex, also search for a used works or aftermarket

^^^yup, i use a 400ex shock. great shock and with oconnors bushings its a direct bolt up except drilling out the bottom hole a tiny bit.

the spring needs to be compressed not the shaft extended.. i think you got it backwards man,..
for the rear a 250r or 400ex with oconners bushings and for the front i wouldnt trade my works for nothing... well maybe some elka's but who wants to spend that kind of $$$

Stay away from z400 shocks, its a pogo stick

I just looked at yfz 450 rear shock.. its not the same mounting?

yfz 450, raptor, 400ex, kfx400/z400/dvx400 front shocks will work with extended a arms. banshee shocks is the only ones that will bolt up without extended a arms besides the stock length aftermarket shocks like elka and works.
