Before you oil anything, check everything!
Check the bore to piston clearance
Check to see if the ports were chamfered
Check the new piston for burrs.
When you get done checking, start cleaning. Spray all of the ports with carb clean and blow them out with compressed air. Grit from the hone loves to hide there and will make short work of your new cylinder. Clean the bore with water and Dawn dish liquid. Wipe it around the bore, not up and down. Your cylinder is clean when the white rag shows no signs of dirt. Make sure you oil the cylinder as soon as it’s clean or it will start to rust. Oil everything with high quality two stroke oil. Don’t forget about the top end bearing and pin bore. Install the clips so that the gap is facing up or down
