My blaster came with an FMF pipe, but it mates with the engine kinda funky.

There is a flange that is bolted to the motor, and a small stub of pipe, about 2" long, that is welded to that. The FMF pipe is snugged with wire so it stays over that flanged pipe... causing a bit of an exhaust leak.

One, will a small leak there burn out valves?

And two, how should I fix it? Is there meant to be a flexible joint at this area or can I weld the pipe to the flange?

my dyno port uses a spring from the pipe to the flange..i coated the inside inside of the pipe with red high temp RTV, and that has kept it from spittin oil..you dont have any valves in the 2 stroke motor, but ive noticed a lack in power with a bad leak..see what you can do..

i get a bit of exhaust from down there too. like you can see the fumes and theres quite abit. should i try to seal it up or not worry?

well on my pipe i have springs that hold to that flange that bolts to the motor all two strokes i have seen have springs holding on the pipe so see if the springs are broke or missing that will cause a exhuast leak
