Pinging on low rpms

sounds like piston slap to me if it didnt do it from the beginning then its not normal, to much piston/cylinder clearance causes piston slap.. just take it apart it takes like 20 minutes

Check if the head is tightened down. I had the same problem and I noticed my head was loose and after tightening it my quad ran fine.

yeah i was just thinking that but wont be able to do it until tomorrow cause its pooring outside

yeah you would need a new piston and bore job, but if your front motor mout is loose it will vibrate and make noises make sure there all tight first, and if not then tear it apart

all 3 blastys i have ive re used the gaskets and have no leaks so far, unless there so small i dont realize it

if its at low rpm, it could be your needle jet is to lean, and when its hot you need that extra fuel, my blaster did something simmaler this winter, mad e alike keek keek keek sound in higher rpm in 5th and 6th when it was hot, was to lean, unless your talkin about at ilde.. my blaster makes all kinda racket at idle, but so does my wifes,

here is mine on a cold warm up PICT0264.flv video by 4cfed88 - Photobucket

still sounds like that at idle wehn its warm to

here is the wifes.. no where near as noisey as mine but still makes noise

so heres what i think .... when the motor is cold your piston is somewhat smaller than your sleeve but as it heats up it expands. now if it is expanded how would it be "knocking" so i would check your piston. i've blown my blaster up for not warming it up before so if you've ever just started it up and didn't take the proper time to warm it up it could have scored your sleeve and it is leaving it room to knock. my only thinking of it doing it at idle is because there is not as much friction at idle to heat the piston up but when your running at high r's the more heat and the piston is expanding. good luckI:I
