Hi, i just re-did the paint on my 1988 blaster (frame: monster green, plastics and seat: satin black), and put a .040 over wiseco racing piston in the engine when i had it out. I want to do everything possible to get the most power out of it as possible. Figured the piston was a good start. I plan to put fmf racing exhaust, v force 3 reeds, a reed spacer, and a k&N airfilter on it. I'll jet it then of course...but past all those basics, i don't know what else i can really do to it. (I'm not interested in suspension mods...strictly engine/power related mods). Any ideas would help.

Thanks,
Sam

Mmajay, when u say jug do u mean head? And i've heard that before, but didnt know it was a huge performance gainer. I will look into it. And thankyou blasterdad, the link was very helpful.

no. he means the jug. if it were a 4 stroke, he would have said head, but its not the same. on a 4 stroke, head porting isnt a huge horsepower gainer most of the time. on a 2 stroke with restricted ports like these blasters, it is a huge power increase if done right. its kinda like porting the head on a 4 stroke and adding big cams, but better
