oven cleanner

never had an issue have also used it in a truck bed[was full of grease and sludge from hauling scrap and engines]. But to be fair paint in bed was scratched all to heck to begin with

Just be carefull, most oven cleaners have a caustic base. This would attack aluminium (polished and non coated ally usually develops a white powdery corrosion). I have a cleaner that is caustic based, and used in on engine bays, not very nice... for degreasing engine parts, nice! However, don't leqve your pistin in overnight! It turned a dull grey, almost sandblasted look.
I used it to clean my blaster cylinder the other day after port and polishing, sprayed it on, waited a minute and hosed it down very well. Then left it to dry in the sun, few minutes later, the polished parts had a dull while coating.

So just be carefull.
