I would have to say you probably honed it out of specs also. you are right about the shavings in the ports but, that is a lot of clearance between the cylinder and piston.

ill bet the house that u honed it way out of spec when u get the new piston measure skirt to cylinder wall clearance. or u put the wrong size piston in as thats waaaaaay to much clearance

I agree with scot...metal in the ports didn't remove that much material...that is a ton of clearance

because the guy who had it before me abused the crap out of it and all the 05 stuff is basically trash but it's usable. i just got some good used stuff for it that happened to be the crappy 02 ones.

well imo crappy 05 brakes beat the hell out new 02 brakes... id repair those bad boys and put them back on.. and are you sure its an 05 those are the older style lights and hood

they didn't bolt right on. just about everything is 02. only thing i can think of right off my head that isn't 02 is the frame and motor.

on the 05 blaster thing i am going by what i was told. for all i know about it before i got it my blaster could be an 02 and had 05 brakes and stuff. i'll run my vin and let you guys know. and i am going to try to fix them but if i can't i'll probably just buy new ones.

okay i ran my vin and my blaster is an 02. seems about right but i still got some 05 stuff too bad it's mostly junk though haha. my blaster is still incapacitated from my wreck the other day.

i have stock shocks but i flipped them upside down and they are quite a bit softer and smoother that way. but i am going to flip them back soon because they are a little too soft and bottom out too easy.
