I dont under stand if i have a 55 pilot jet(keihin pj carb) or a 50 or even a 45 i have to have the idel knob all the way up for it to idel right and when i stab the gas it bogs then clears up and runs like it should help me

this has to be a keihin 34mm pj carb, same exact trouble at first,

a few of us have had to get a different needle, i have a "dgh" and a few others have
"cel" needles
and i also use the throttle cable tension to get mine to idle, and fine tune with that P.O.S. choke circut idle

I had this same exact problem with my 35 pwk airstriker. sicivicdude fixed it up for me. he took the spring off the idle screw so he could adjust the slide up further. and that fixed the problem. or you can order the brass screw and that will work too I think. I had a weird needle in mine too a DEH or somethin. put a CEL in and it ran like a champ on the middle clip. I had a bad 1/3 to 1/2 throttle too. bogged and sputtered bad. the CEL needle fixed that right up
