ok this thing is a biotch to start and wont start unless i dump gas into the carb. once i get it going it seems to run good unless i pin it and then it starts bouncing like its missing or something, the drive belt is waaay wore out so mabey that is contributing but i dont really think so. the biotch is after i run it for a few mins when i shut it off or it stalls it will not restart, only sometimes when i dump more gas in the carb. i completely took the carb apart and cleaned everything, has good spark and has enough compression to make me tired as hell after fulling on it for a few mins lol. i belive i checked it last yeah and both cylinders were 110+. anybody got any ideas or thoughts? this is obviously jsut a hill bomber but i would still like to get it going for the snow lol I:I :D

is it just me or does it seem to idle really high?

is there a fuel pump or something on it? seems like it runs the fuel out of the bowl and then dies?

once i turn the screw down some i thought the idle was ok, deff high untill then. yeah it has a pump but it sits and idles good so i dunno whats up lol it is pissing me off though because its not a lack of trying lol X(

If every thing is ok then I'd look at the compression, 110 is enough to make it fart but thats about it.

It has spark, but does it have enough? I would test the stator and cdi's.
Air leaks?
Does the oil pump still pump oil?
Fuel lines clogged?
Fuel pump working?

dosent seem to have any airleaks but i will be sure to use my fancy new leakdown tester from otis on it :D :D oil pump must be working because i have ran it a decent bit today revving teh sh*t outta it and it hasnt blown up lol. fuel pump and lines seem ok they are clear and i can see they flow good with no air in there. so mabey the compression is too low? what should snomobile compression be? i have another bottom end i know is good sitting here i am thinking about taking the pistons and jugs out this motor, giving them a hone and new set of rings then tossing them on the other bottom end. i belive these are case induction reeds? could something be wrong down there possibly??? its jsut weird, thats what is getting me...

If it has reeds :D But yeah I'd pull the jugs and look at the reeds.
