ok so i was riding my blaster and it started sputtering, a few weeks ago i had the stator replace, but when i was riding it was like i was in 3rd but i was in 1st i had to pin it and let the clutch out slow just to get it to roll. the in died wouldnt kick over then ithought hey the kick seems a lot easier so i get off the bike and do it by hand BY HAND! like if it was just flopping in the wind. so i said ok it just the spring tenchener. so i tried to roll start it down a big hill, putt putt bang dodododo nothing did it again nothing.

so my ? is do i have no compression? and could it be the rings that have just gone bad? and how do i know what rings look like if they have gone bad?

IF it is the rings, you won't be able to tell by sight. the only way to know if the rings are bad is w/ a good compression tester. when you test it, pin the throttle at wot and give it a good 5-10 kicks. a half decent tester is like $30
BUT it doesn't necessarily sound like bad rings to me. rings go bad gradually, not all of a sudden.
sounds to me like your piston is blown.
either way you're gonna need to pull the top end. either way you're gonna need to replace the piston and bore over to the next step. BUT if it IS a blown piston (usually the exhaust port and skirt is where it falls apart) then you'll have to split the cases and clean out the crank chamber.
