got a 02 blasty if it runs for a while it leaks oil from a tube in the front that spits down onto the exhaust pipe what is this tube for and can i block it off or relocate it ??

it does come from behind the cylinder on the starter side could it be that i have to much fluid somewhere?

ok, well that is the transmission breather pipe, so if its coming out there and the bike is battling to run, you have probably got busted crank seals, and you crankcase compression is blowing passed into your tranny and displacing oil out of the gearbox. the oil seal on the right hand side of the motor (kicker side) will be the problem here. the seeal sits behind the clutch boss and primary drive gear, but id suggest changing both left and right. the left hand side one is behind the magneto which is behind a plastic cover, whip the cover off and check if there is oil around there, if there is that one is shot too.

if the bike is running fine then its probably too much oil in the transmission.
if the bike is cutting out, does it burn white smoke and smell different? if so its definately your crank seals

the bike is new to me i haven't noticed any difference in the way it runs yet seems pretty good iam thinking just too much oil in the trans... how much and what type of oil should i have in the trans?

about 650ml 10w30. i prefer to use yamalube trans oil. but in reality, any engine oil will do as long as it doesnt have any anti friction properties--these will make the clutch slip. to check you oil level, there is a round window at the bottom of the case below the kicker with two lines on the side, the oil level must be between the two lines.
