I have been thinking about putting a block off kit on my blaster. The current oil injection system works fine but seems to be running rich. Anyone know what the ratio the injection system mixes at? Also I am new to blasters is a block off kit something I should install, if so is it an easy install?

its an easy modification. I hear alot of folks running 32:1 but that also varies with jetting and the oil you use but 32:1 seems to be the general ratio. I have always used 12ounce bottle of golden spectro to 5gallons and have never had any problems.

the stock oil pump usaully puts out like 20:1, best thing to do is remove/block it off. when it does go bad there will be no warning except your engine burning up. get some klotz super techni plate and mix it 32:1...4oz per gallon

damn! 20:1??? thats crazy that lil damn pump is working! When i took this one off,i was glad to see it was engineered alot better than some others i have seen...like where they work off of the throttle cable and you have to constantly check the adjustment!

those are the better ones... This pump dosent give a constant ratio!!!

When you rev it up, and tootle along with high revs and not much throttle open, theres lots of oil.. high revs = more oil, small throttle opening = not much gas..

When ur at low revs, and wide open throttle, theres not nearly enough oil.. And when your flat out, wide open throttle, high revs, its ok.. its designed so the average rider wont oil their plugs up..

the pumps with the extra cable keep a constant ratio as it "knows" how much the throttle is opened up.. and if you want less oil, you can loosen the cable a tad.. if you want more, you can tighten it a bit..
