So I bought a T.M designworks oil injection block off kit a little while ago, and my dad was helping me put it on tonight and he said that i dont really need it, because he can just disconnect the oil tank and snip the tube and block it off with silicone or something. Would this work?

The "easiest way" to delete the oil injection is to leave the oil pump in place. Do this... Remove the engine case cover that covers the oil pump, and "loop" the oil "in" line to the oil "out" line on the pump using a high grade fuel line. just make sure you fill the tube with oil. I've done this many times with zero isssues...ever. I loop it,just so I can break in a new set of rings with a tank of pre-mix,without using the synthetic oil I have in the tank. New top ends and rings won't "seat" if you use synthetic oil. This system works flawlessly, but why remove it in the first place???

My buddy and I have used the stock oil injection with ZERO ISSUES for YEARS! We go on 60 to 80 mile rides into the middle of no where all the time.
Why do you want to remove it?

Could you provide some documentation to support this claim, thanks.

I assume you re jet for to suit the less fuel you have passing through the jets in the carby..I guess that you are aware that if you add oil to the fuel you will run lean and possibly run hotter than optium for break in.

It is not good practice to use pre mix in the tank if the motor is jetted for oil injection. Oil in the fuel, mean less fuel = lean = bad idea.

You must increase the jet if you add oil to the fuel.
