Oil Help

Ok, so this morning I went to take my blaster out of the garage when I noticed an oil leak coming from where the shifter meets the crank case. I'm not sure how much leaked and my oil pan screw is stripped. I'm not sure exactly how much I have in it, I added about 1/3 qt. (probably should have waited to see how much leaked but I didn't) the glass indicator looks like its full but I've been told not to go by that. Im not sure if I put too much or not. Any help would be great

Why wouldn't you go by what the glass indicator says? Thats what its there for, just make sure the quad is level when looking at it. The crank takes about 3/4 of a quart just so you know

Gotta be careful man too much oil and you could blow the crank seal. That seal around the kick start is easy to replace so you should be ok there Id be more worried about that stripped drain plug.

yeah, its showing its full - it may be a little over full but as long as its not smoking it should be ok, right?

no. The transmission and the crank are separate. If you put too much oil in, like ruthless said, you can blow a seal. The motor's suppose to smoke, its a 2 stroke!
