oil block off?

i just got my engine rebuilt and was told to mix the oil in the gas and not use that tank with oil in it anymore...now that tank full of oil had a hose that ran to the right side of the engine...do i need to cap off any of the ports on this since i dont need to run that hose anymore?!?

I would cap them just because. The most important one is the port on your carb. If you don't have the carb one blocked off, you will have an air leak

Doing a block off involves more than just cutting and blocking off the hoses,
Best way is to purchase a block off kit, to completely remove the oil pump with the block off plate provided and the rubber nipple that blocks off the oil injection inlet on the carb (follow the line), that carb inlet must be blocked offor it will suck air, crested a lean condition and fry your piston,
There are also DIY's on here, they involve removing the clutch cover. Taking off the white plastic drive gear to the oil pump. And blocking off the carb inlet,

Or you can make a block off plate from a spoon like i did.lol.

yep, i removed the pump completely and cut out a small flat plate, using the back side of the pump as a template, that insures that pump will never lock up from lack of lubrication, possibly shattering the plastic gear inside your clutch cover
use a little high temp copper permatex to seal the plate to the case
block off the carb inlet
mix your gas 32:1 and ride

iam assuming that the guy who rebuilt my engine blocked off the oil already..so ill need to cap off the 2 ports on that and the port on the carb?

If it was done right, there should be no pump on the motor.

ok so i should remove the pump n case and take out the oil pump drive then put a plate on?

i'd call to confirm he removed the plastic gear.
if so, run it, the pump is now the blockoff plate with the gear removed
