Oil block off - no vacuum cap: can I use silicone? Fluid gasket?

I am unable to get a vacuum cap for the carb with the oil block off..

Can i use some silicone or fluid gasket ? Either directly on the brass fitting or cut a piece of hose and fill it will the above? Or would it be better to leave 1" hose, put a screw in and some silicone?

go to home depot and see if they can get u something to plug it with...

Hmmm .. I live in Denmark, so i dont have home depot? Everywhere I asked they dont have vacuum caps

I don't see why you cant use silicone. put a screw in the line also

Look for Ultra Black RTV. High temp and oil resistant. A bit tube of it is a couple bucks.

did you try the auto store.get the smallest vacuum cap they have.

I just ordered a set and they come to pappa tomorrow! I found then ironiclly in a Danish - US Cars specialist! ;-)

yea man, if not just use a litle silicone or rtv nd put screw in it.

Specialized7: I wíll use your solution with the 2 hoses runing to the disabled oilpump.. nice screw and some sealent..
