Im mixing 32:1 and have a toomey b1 full exhaust, 3x4 uni clamp on to 5in tubing. I have a stock 26mm mikuni carb jetted to a 360 main, 32.5 pilot, 3rd needle clip, and 1 1/8 turns out on a/f screw. When It first starts up, it doesn't smoke as much as it did when breaking in. I even let it idle for like 5 mins before i ride it and it isnt pushing out a bunch of smoke....There are no air leaks because I put down some gasket maker on the reed gasket, base cylinder gasket, and even on the exhaust flange. Im scared that i might blow it up. Ive spent way too much money to blow it up again. Let me know guys. When I'm putting a long in a high gear, it smokes like normal, but when it idles, it doesnt push out much unless you give a bunch of revs. Is it because alot of the oil/gas mixture goes down and lubes the bearings and crankshaft???

well #1 did you do a real leakdown test that's the only real way to tell

what does the spark plug look like?

what oil do you use in your premix? i was running a "smokeless" formula and it smoked still. i switched to amsoil interceptor and almost no smoke.

Heres the plug....

hard to tell if that is black or brown, but if it is black it is rich. if brown, you are good. but really that looks like it is getting oil.

so this is a different plug from the one that's been in it since you noticed a difference in the smoke output?

if so then any data from that plug is irrelevant and did you pull the current one

The one i pulled and took a picture of is the one that i rode on to make me post this thread. So yes, its RELEVANT NOT IRRELEVANT. I havnt changed plugs from break in, this one is from breaking in and just riding around.

Ya for sure put a fresh plug in after you warm it up, then do WOT procedure, and pull the plug again, That will give ya a true reading.

That's what the fresh plug did after WOT

Looks rich if you ask me.

I had to do it two times with this plug because the first time i pulled it, there was barely anything on it. it had a slight black look to it though.

after a single run it should only leave a small ring around the base of the porcelain, i would say its rich as well.
