Not runinng right or starting

well I wouldn't think you would be lean with that big of a jet. There's not really a free way to do a comp test unless you have a buddy with a compression tester. You might be able to go to O'rileys or autozone, some place that rent out tools and stuff so you don't have to buy one. Or you could try taking it to a shop and see if you can have them check it there for cheap, the small independent guys are sometimes good for this.

I got a lot of me tester parts from Oreily's, pvc was from hardware store(pcv 1inch to 1/2 threaded) and engine plug and an airtank valve body, shreader valve and fitting from O'reily's. 20 buck or so for all, just use a bike pump to pump it up and don't go over 20 psi. it should hold pressure for a minute or two.

That would be for a leak down tester, which would still be good to check for airleaks, but I would worry about a comp tester first, if the comp checks bad then you have to worry about a rebuild, If it checks good then that would be a good next step to make sure that you dont have an airleak that will melt your motor down. You could try running a smaller jet if you have it, If it runs still make sure that you do a plug chop, just to be safe.

that doen't really mean much, its the rigs that are most likely to go bad allowing gasses to blow by and thus low/no compression. Have you ran the bike any since you had the head off? if you have had it off before it started acting up it could have an airleak.
