Hi, I finally put the blaster to run, still needs some calibration in the carburetor but is running at last. Now 2 days ago i got a really cheap (free) project : 1985 honda atc 125M. This is the one with horizontal layout engine, electric and pull start. It comes with rectifier, starter motor, etc. My question is: since it didn't come with a battery when i got it, it should start even if the rectifier or starter motor is broken, right? I just check the ignition coil and it got a good spark at the plug. I just tried to pull and push start it and nothing. I did a rectifier test and is fried. i haven't check tha cdi yet.
Thanks in advance,

Is it a rectified regulator combo? If so no the bike won't run right and if you did manager to get it started while reving you would here it kind of break up Wich you would confuse with a badly tuned carb
