normal 2 stroke smoke??

today ridin in my little field in the backyard, ridin about medium throttle trhough the snow and it has the normal smoke, then once i throw it in 3rd gear and stay in the powerband for around 15-20 seconds she smokes like crazy then once i let off throttle and go back into 2nd or 1st she still smokes good, then after a few minutes its back to normal smoke.. is this normal??

if its smokin more when your on it your ether wayy to rich or burning trans oil

since its only in 3rd gear, i would guess its trans oil. but im no pro. just makes sense to me.

it doesnt seem to rich cause all the way through the throttle there is no delay in revving, but i baught it in november and havnt changed the tranny and clutch oil and iv been meaning to do so

well it does no good if its burning the trans oil than you have abad seal, what does the smoke smell like?? your normal 2 stroke oil or automotive oil burning?

Your spark plug will tell you if it's running too rich. So what's it look like?

mine only smokes when i first start it. as soon as i let the choke off and put it in gear there is absolutely no smoke. blasters shouldnt smoke that much unless theyre jetted too rich or bad seals.

or cheap oil... my first 250r trike the guy was running gn2? honda 2 stroke oil mixed 20:1 it smoked like a fog machine all the time.... even my 81 250r running some cheaper synthetic 2 stroke oil smoked .... my lt250r, and all my blasters and my 82 big bore 250r trike only smoked when cold untell warmed up.... but they have ether ran klotz techniplate or pro honda hp2 ( which i run in the lt250r and its great oil )

i was running klotz snowmobile techniplate in winter due to it mixing just like summer when its extremly cold... seriously 30 seconds and it was mixed, my pro honda hp2 i gotta mix for a good minute or two to get it fully mixed and cold temps


caster oils or benol oils are no good for my motor as they are known to gum up the power valve the hp2 is designed for cd dirt bikes which are power valve

im running amsoil dominator, mine smokes all the time, could it just be its running to rich??

I run AMSOIL Interceptor and it doesn't smoke to where I would be concerned. Are you running premix or using the injection? Also is the bike fully warmed up and have you "cleaned the carbon out" before it is doing this?

i run ten doubleyer tirty and she smokes all the time

I just switched to a oko 30mm carb.It smoked at first but after first ride now see no smoke.Not liking that one bit.If it aint smoken then its blowing.Smoke tells you there is oil in there lubricating them rings and helping to keep things cool.Your plug should have a dark oily ash.Just a tad of white.I even run a slightly hotter plug to keep it on the rich side.Normal would be a white ash on plug with a bit of dark but 2 strokes are best run rich.They last longer and run just the same just eat more gas.But its a blaster they eat gas any way.
