No throttle response

Hi,
I have a prblem with my new to me 2005 blaster. I rebuilt the engine to stock. It has a new keihin 28 mm carb with a 50 pilot and 155 main. I totally took of the tors system. My problem is, the bike starts right up and idles but will not respond to any throttle. Reeds looked good. As soon as I give it throttle it just does not do anything. I can hear the slide working but it just makes a noise like when you kick start with the throttle wide open without the bike fireing. I removed the oil system and have fresh gas mixed to 32 ratio with a new plug. I put a twist throttle on as well. The only thing I can think of is electrical. Any ideas?

Did you do the rest of the tors delete? 03+ need something done with extra wire. Use the search for it if someone doesn't chime in. Also check parking brake switch. Found it : http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/03-06-tors-removal-diy-41973/

was the piston installed facing the proper direction ???

Larry, you had it right on the head. It was the parking brake switch!
