Absolutely!

Check out the ignition system troubleshooting in the service manual. That plus the 03+ supplement will walk you through testing each of the igntion system components until you find the fault.

I can tell you this, the most common causes of ignition system failure are the TORS system microswitches, the key switch, and corrosion in the handle bar switch.

Did you lock the front brake on? If the front brake is not on and all the tors is still hooked up, it won't get spark.

Say what? I typed VVVVV that before I went back re-read your post very carefully. You have to hit the front brake to start the 03+ blasters?

If the parking brake is on, the engine will idle fine it will just not rev anywhere. Like hitting a "launch controller"...

The causes for non-spark include, grounded keyswitch, grounded handlebar switch, non-functional TORS switches, bad source coil, bad pickup coil, or bad CDI. The trouble shooting section in the manual steps through "third-party" testing of each electrical component using a multi-meter for an accurate diagnosis.

If I remember right. My first Blaster would not start of the front brake was not on. I could be wrong.

I'm not discounting the possibility but I've never heard of sucha thing. I do know that the parking brake and CDI work together in ways to confuse owners when they inadvertantly leave the parking brake set and try to take off...
