Did you just unplug the TORS? If so, the idle screw should work that is on the TORS system. Ther is a little brass flat head screw that is about 5/16in, it should be back out 1.5 turns from seated position.

the motor was "rebuilt" before my brother bought it.. is there a chance the rings arent gapped right causing low comp

i had the same problem. disconnect your tores and it should give you spark. as it did for mine and my cousins blaster. i hope it works for you.
