my 98 blaster had a piece of radiator hose connecting the carb to the intake,,, what is the intake piece supposed to look like, will it have rubber on it, and how about a clamp? mine had 2 radiator hose clamps on it

Mine is some type of rubber hose with two hose clamps. I had a problem with the clamp on the reed cage coming loose from vibration so I used loctite on it.

well i think the pice u speak of looks like this bro

Looks like a rad valve and it is missing the rubber piece they give you from the original purchase.Just cut that one squarely and use it.It's the only option at this point and it will work fine. You can always go to the automotive store and get another piece if you don't feel safe with that one,but will be the same method in the end.Supwernoober just put one on his bike.p.m. him if you want pics of what the factory piece looks like.Good luck and hope this helps.

Yep you should be fine.Just tighten it down good.A leakdown test is always nice to be sure that their is no air leak.Holeshotman sells them in the for sale section for a great price and comes with directions in case you need them.

/\/\/\/\ correct, what he has is all one piece, intake/reed cage all in one, just replace the hose with new to be safe, and buy good clamps
or if you want the best boots $10 can buy, go here, they come in straight or reducing sizes
and get their clamps too, they work great for a couple bucks
just measure the o.d. of both parts, or i.d. of the rubber piece you have now
Silicone Hose

nice,, i like the silicone hose and clamps,, i'm going to order some and in the meantime i'll just use some rubber,,, thanks again for all the help

its besides teh point but i dont think that is a rad valve.. mine looks kinda like that but there is not lip for a hose clamp like on that one. but yeah man a silicone adapter will work out great
