Ok guys new to the forum and blasters. Been ridin two stroke dirtbikes for awhile though. First off it's a 2000 has a fmf full exhaust k&n filter and supposedly bored .60 over. The carb leaks gas out the overflow if the bike is running. I have taken it apart and rebuilt it. The main jet says 220 on it. Also the bike won't idle. And when riding it won't hit the powerband. It just goes but doesn't have power. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you've been running that 220 jet for awhile, it is probably time for a rebuild. Fmf calls for a 260. Have you checked the compression? And the overflow problem is probably the float level

No haven't checked compression. Just got it yesterday. It ran fine last night then started this today. I can try a bigger jet but if the carb is overflowing gas then it should be gettin enough.

The carb over flowing fuel has NOTHING to do with "getting enough gas". This statement makes no sense what so ever. Your float is stuck open. You need to stop riding that blaster and do the following...

1... Clean the carb and set the float level properly
2... Put that 260 jet in the carb (sea level) or a bit larger and start there.
3... Leak test the engine.
4... Do a compression test.
5... Read up on jetting and plug chopping.

Once you get everything dialed in, it will run well.

Gonna pick up a compression tester and leak down tester today as well as try to find a 260 jet. How do I adjust the float in the carb. Thanks.

Yea it wasn't that dirty. I put a new air filter on just now and adjusted the carb she's runnin good again. Thanks for the tips guys.

Just for your engines insurance, I would leak test it (easy to do), do a compression test, and record the info. Did you up the main jet? The stock size jet is a #230

It was extremely dirty yea. It was a k&n I put a regular one back on it. I bought a 270 jet but haven't put it in yet.
