No power in gear

Have a 1997 blaster completely stock. Last time riding it was running fine, had it shut off to take a break and once I started it back up it would rev up fine in neutral, but once in gear I have basically no power at all. There's enough power to move around, but its very slow. Can't figure out the problem. Carb is clean, compression is 130 and has no problem starting up, TORS is also removed. All help is appreciated thanks.

When in gear it'll rev, but not as high as it should. I tried getting into 3rd gear and it bogged real bad. 1st and 2nd gear it won't bog, it just doesn't have the power it needs and the power it should. Also, the parking brake isn't active and I don't believe its electronic like the newer blasters.

The first thing I would do on my check list is put it in neutral and see how hard it is to push. If that seems fine, I would take a look at the reeds. Try out a new plug first.

Tried out a new plug and still did the same thing, I checked the reeds and they weren't cracked or broken. They did have a little gap and didn't sit down flush though, the gap is about the thickness of a dime. I tried flipping them around and still the same gap.

replace those worn out reeds to eliminate that from the mix

I must be gettin' old, didn't see 1997.

Just a thought, has some of the lining of the stock pipe come adrift and blocking stuff up?

Could be an idea to do a leakdown test, if you decide to take the pipe off.

Not sure about the pipe, I'll try taking the pipe off and see if anythings clogged up. I had a few friends say that the carb could need tuned? Any thoughts on that.
