no lights work please help

ok so yesturday i finished my getting my bike workin, ricky stator, new head light, vtios top end kit. my last stator burnt out, so i ordered the 75 watt ricky stator with the adjustible timing. got everything hooked up and running, worked fine, then randonly the oil light and headlight stoped working, does anonyone have suggestions from past occurances, im guesing the volt reg or stator went bad please help is appreciated, im getting desperate after spending all that money

Tried a multimeter on the wires yet? Check the High/low switch.Check the lighting coil on the stator.If the lighting system is O.K. it's probably the voltage regulator.

ive checked the stator and its good, how do you check the voltage regulator, would the ricky high output 75 watt have somthing to do with it going bad
