No front brakes..?

So, bought my blaster today, gonna go back on monday with my trailer to get it.

Anyway, the dude I bought it from showed me that it has no front brakes (the backs are hydraulic, but need to be bled, no big deal). Like, when he pulled on the brakes, the quad would still roll forward with no resistance.

This is my first quad, so I'm not quite sure what to be looking for?

He said that maybe there were no pads? Or something?
I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but I'd sure appreciate it if you guys could help me out.

New brake pads and a set of motion pro brake cables and it'll at least slow the bike down and hold it on a hill... they never work as good as hydraulics

Yep. installed and adjusted properly they will work for you. They worked good on mine for what they are (drum brakes). They did lock and hold the front wheels and the shoes and springs are in great shape. Just PM me if you are interested. I:I

The stock front brake shoes work pretty good IMO. They take more force than hydraulic obviously, but stop just as well and clamp down. You can lock up the fronts no prob.

As far as the back drum brakes........they suck midget clusterfuck.

Well for the back brakes someone installed the hydraulic kit, they just need bled.

The front brakes just do NOTHING at all. Need to get that fixed..

Probably has no shoes/pads.

u cant by just the shoes for this deal and its a complete set up. i would do this route then you know you have EVERYTHING you need to fix or replace yours ..... 30 shipped ????? how can you go wrong.
