Ok so i just rebuilt my Top End has great compression (Have not done compression test yet) but seems to be good ok so hear is where the problem comes in i kicked it about 10-15 times then it started for about 20 seconds then cut off then i tried to start it again but no luck i kicked it probably 40 times has brand new spark plug (NGK B8ES) top end was done right so no issues there i have not done a Leak Down Test i plan on ordering one from slickerthanyou ASAP please help me it was mentioned to me that it could be a timing issue how can i tell if it is.

Im not sure how it could be a timing issue.
Here is what i would do is it getting gas this may be dumb but has happend to me is the gas on? If it is make sure its getting to the plug
Is it getting spark? And do a leak down test before riding, you should even do it before you start.

Take your carb boot off, squirt a little PREMIX in the carb, then try to start it.
If it starts then dies its a carb issue, if it doesn't start check to see if you've got spark.

Question, why did you need the re build, did it just wear out, or was it something drastic.

I feel that a leak down test is in order before you try anything else.

While you are waiting for your tester, if you suspect a timing issue, pull the flywheel off and check the woodruff key.

It had low compression thats why i rebuilt it

sounds to me like a spark issue. make sure you getting a healthy spark, if you are, then check to see if your S-plug is wet, if it is, then you are getting fuel if its not, then you got a fuel issue.

let us know, then we can diagnose other possible issues.

It was a fuel issue i had the petcock in the on position but nothing was coming out so i put it in the RES position then it came like it was in the ON position and it fired right up i got it idling great and it will idle for ever so ill super siked to go riding

Replace it wit a banshee one direct replacemment and will flow a little better.

Can anyone tell me if i replace my front sprocket with a 14t if i take the cover off that blocks it to take it off will i need to put a new gasket on it or anything
