hi guys, im on my last life..68.00mm and although wiseco still makes a 68.25, i dont like the thought of it being os big as the bigger you bore the bigger your ports become, so my options are, get a used cylinder off ebay on stock bore, get a sleeve, or go big bore. now im weary of the big bore and my head will not work with it as is and its going to be costly to get another, so il leave that for another year, so my question is, which sleeve? i hear good things about LA sleeves. what are the advantages of a chrome moly sleeve over a plain steel one. any other manufacturers? im not really too clued up on who makes them.

I am also a bit concerned about changing sleeves, has anyone had the experience of one coming loose inside the barrel?

I don't know of the actual manufcaturers of the sleeves. The only manufacturer of sleeve's I know of is La sleeve.

Ken O'Connor said something one time about a notch in the cylinder and sleeve he cuts to "key" the sleeve to the jug so it cannot spin once it's in. Considering the extremely high costs of freight you may want to get the machine work done on your side of the pond but I would definitely inquire about the process to keep it from spinning.

and what if i have a failure that a 0.25 bore wont fix? then im screwed. such a thin liner is not good for heat transfer either. is the BBK really worth it?
