I got Boyesen power reeds in my blaster 6 days ago, and I've been so amazed at the difference from the stock reeds. It grabs onto the powerband like a fat guy to a piece of pie. I:I Come christmas, I'm throwing a better pipe on it, im currently running stock, and I was wondering, what pipe gives a sexy sound, and gives better power. And will i need to buy a new header, if so, I'm looking for affordability, but keeping power in consideration.

check the pipe review thread, anything but a DG will give a noticeable increase over the stocker, and don't forget that you need to rejet for a new pipe

sorry if this seems like a stupid question brandoz, i appologzie if it is but, when people say rejet, do they mean the pilot jet, or all of the jets in the carb?

Your gonna get a hundred different answers on what pipe to run. Like brandoz28 said, their all good except for DG. Do some homework on pipes and get one that meets your needs. Imo

i love the sound/performance of my power pros, But also like the sound of the Toomey's. I'm not a FMF fan just because i don't like the sound. Yes you should buy the header and pipe, just changing the silencer isn't going to give ya nothing but a different sound.

mostly the main jet, but the pilot should be checked as well. when you make a change to the path of airflow in/out of the engine, such as taking off the airbox lid, or changing the pipe, even changing the reeds, you should check the jetting.

The Toomey comes with a bigger main jet (310) and the "how-to" move the clip doc. I also went to a 35 pilot jet.

also something else to consider is that different pipes have different power characteristics. For sound I don't think the toomey could be beat, but I dont think I have heard the power pros/f7 pipes. Also FMF is gonna be the cheapest cause you can find that used all the time, but like slick said they sound like crap, especially the older ones, the newer ones sound ok, but still don't like it.

hey now, i kinda like how the FMF sounds...lol

i love my f7, its a little dead right off idle, but it gets in the pipe fast and it gets going
