Ok my first post and unfortunately it is about problems I am having. I purchased my blaster 3 weeks ago and was planning to fix its clutch problem and keep riding it but things changed.

I didn't have a clutch when I started so I checked the clutch and the push rod was welded to the ball on either side as well as the clutch lever. Well long story short my friends dad tried to re install the push rod and snapped it inside of my motor dead in the middle of the welded on ball.

So I guess my question is, does anyone have a good idea how to get the rest of the rod out? my second option is to crack the case and get it out that way but I would like to avoid it. Any help will be appreciated.

ahh bummer bro, we have had this happen before and we tried almost everything to get it out with no luck....we ended up splitting the cases to get it out...good luck to ya and welcome to the forum

Any chance you could point me in the right direction of how to go about splitting my case? I have been tearing it down for about a day and am stuck using the blaster manual you guys talk about on here.

do u have experirence in tearing apart any atv or dirtbike motors??..only reason i ask is its not really a beginner type job, and can be a nighmare if 1 washer or spacer is forgetten, but if u are somewhat famailar then id say give it a try..how far have u gotten so far?

Well this is my first ATV i've owned but I have rebuilt motors for my 240sx. But basically I have the Jug and head off, the jug is being bored. I have all of the machine screws out for that connect the cases. And the stator is off. I am assuming that i need to take off some of the gears on the clutch side of the motor but I'm not sure. I'm going to go take a picture. BRB lol

the blaster motor is almost as simple as it can get. First motor i built was the project shee i had. if that thing was a synch im sure the blaster is even easier bro. just keep everything together, take your time, and do it right. if you have to its a good idea to label everything as it might be weeks or even months before you get it all together.

u have to take off the whole clutch assem. and remove the gears with the arrow on them...on the stator side, u have to remove the stator and the long case screws behind it

I agree it has been extremely easy but when it comes down to splitting the cases i am confused because of the gears and I don't know which way it comes off forsure because i can't find a good write up

so do all the gears come off on that side? and will i run into and suprises taking them off? like a spring that shoots me in the eye or anything cool?

the only ones that come off are the number 1 or2 lol...thats the kicker gear and it will fall out of there, but dont sweat that, its normal..the gear right in the center is the counterbalancer gear and does not come off, you will see what i mean when u take the clucth assem off..the gear with arrow is abit tricky because it is the crank shaft and it will spin when trying to take off that nut..try putting a penny in a rag and wedging it in between those 2 gears, thats should hold it while u take the nut off...an impact gun always seemed to work great for us

So i got my case split and put back together and I need a little bit more help before startup. I put in a new weisco piston and am now to the point where i need to install my head. I got a namura gasket set and the head gasket doesn't seem to line up with my studs. Is there a trick to putting it on?

makesure its not upside down...if you look at the studs, the gasket should line up with them...not hard but you do have to pay attention

Ok got my motor running but messed one thing up. I ruined the washer that goes between the two parts of the clutchbasket. If anyone has a good one or could point me in the right direction that would be great. Paypal ready. Need asap!
