Welcome to the site man, no one will get on ya man, as long as you don't take advice as criticism you will be good. And there are a lot of cheap mods you can do as long as you have some basic fabb skills. I would remove your tors first off, they can screw up sometimes. and if your bike still has the mechanical brakes i would try and find some hydros off a newer blasty 03 and up
The tors is the Throttle Over-ride system, it shuts down the fuel flow if the carb sticks wide open, usually causes more pain then gain, it is the wire that runs from the throttle box to the top of the carb, u can just disconnect it at a connector or cut it out. I think Welcome To The BlasterZone sells hydros, i would try and ebay it to find some cheap ones though.
I just used steel hydrolic hose and some 1-1/2" flat strong and mig welded it together it together then ground the corner down, there are pics in the Custom Fabbing section, its pretty recent, like last week i think
