I just got my first blaster ever n it has been about 15u years since I touched a two stroke. Ran fine when I got it, then the spark plug quit so I replaced it, now it starts great and idles great but bogs down when I touch the throttle. Gets worse as it gets warmer. What should I do?

a top end rebuild wouldnt hurt just to freshen it up, clean carb, plugged up air filter, also do a leakdown test

Do a compression test and leak down test to see what condition your motor is in. Take the carb apart to clean it and check jet size.

Broken, cracked, frayed, or non seating reeds!

If you can see fuel spitting out of the carb, then you must have the air cleaner off, could that be why it is bogging, because of lean mixture.

Problem fixed, to be honest, it was a dumb mistake by me, when the plug crapped out on me, I cleaned the Carb before I replaced the plug. After I replaced the plug n it still wasn't running right, I took the Carb off again n found that I didn't tighten the jet so it was sitting in the bottom of the bowl. Then after that it fixed 90% of the problem n yes I did have the air cleaner off n after reading a lot of these posts it clicked that I needed to put that back on so I did n now it rips like a bat outta hell
Now I'm just waiting on my front wheel bearings. Thanks for your help n I'm sure I'll need more help soon.
