I recently rebuilt the engine on my daughters 06 blaster, we installed wiseco crank kit and had the cylinder punched out .20 over stock, and installed a new wiseco piston, after putting it back together it starts but doesnt want to rev up and it wont idle but it has never idled even when new, it sounds like it is running really lean, there are no other mods than the rebuild, I also unplugged the tors but it doesnt make any difference at all, Ive taken the carb apart and cleaned it twice and it seems to be really clean, should I have to rejet at only .20 over, I also plegged the oil injection and mixed the fuel but that to made no difference

no you dont rejet for removing oil injection but you do for adding aftermarket reeds. Your probablem is most likely the TORS im guessing all you did was unplug it at the carb or under the hood that is not how to remove it i would teel you how but i dont have accsess to my blaster right now to look at the wiring

leak test for sure, check the reeds again,
heres the tors removal "diy"

and also, what year is it ???? the 03-06's have an e-brake system on them that will keep it from revving, if so is the brake locked in the on position ??? or try disconnecting it also
heres some other info...................

no I dont think its the e-brake because it will rev but its making a loud pop noise from the cylinder like it is really lean, the blaster is an 06 that I bought for my son who sank it in a large mine slurry hole, I think it does have a bad air leak but I dont know how to really check it, can you spray carb cleaner around the gasket areas to see if anything changes or do I need to buy a gauge to check it out. I reall dont want to mess up this new rebuild and I havent messed with many two strokes but it seems pretty simple to work on

get a leakdown tester from holeshotman on here, or kiss that money you just spent goodbye

blaster is running good after a carb swap but it still doesnt idle gonna bypass the throttle switch soon as weather warms up

Ah, an 06. Sounds like your TORS has been a prob a long time if it has never idled.

On the later Blasters, you will need to make a jumper for either the throttle switch or the carb switch. On mine, I just cut the throttle switch wire about two inches form where it plugs into the main harness and soldered the two wires together. This made a dandy jumper.
