Hey blasty bro's,

Scotj77 and myself have put together a nice little contest coming up starting this Monday!

Since I bought his modded shift star, I thought why not see if I send him my stock one and have him mod it for me then have a contest so your blasty will shift like a charm.
Well, being the cool member he is, he agreed to mod it for no charge and also throw in a clutch cover gasket so this will be a perfect and complete Mod for your Blasty!

Just make sure that you have some red locktite to put on that bolt that holds it on. If your not sure how to do this Mod , I will take a short video when I remove it from my sons quad and add it to the contest post. I'll take a pic of a before and after so you can see the difference- if your not sure what were talking about.

One other thing, I cannot for the life of me, figure out when Yamaha changed the design of it from being bolted on the shift drum, to being welded on, so if anyone knows the answer please Pm so I can add this in for those of us who are not sure this will work on our quads.
I'll gonna go out on a limb and say that from 87-99 probably had it bolted but I could be wrong.

At any rate the contest will be open to all, yes even our bro's in other countries.

As Scot (with one "T") and I Iron out the details, be ready for your new Christmas Mod!I:I

Good luck and happy posting! B)

for you fellas that already have a modded shift star or have a welded one, you can easily sell this star for a few duckets, and who doesn't need a clutch cover gasket layin around for those unforseen clutch problems. the gasket is oem also, so no junky k&s or anything like that. slick and i were leanin towards 1500 posts.

haha well i will already have that, may enter anyway, and give it to someone i feel lolol, we will see, but good contest guys, i think otis' 1001 posts was enough, but i am impatient lol

Want this to last a little longer fellas! Also will help ya increase your post count!

I was makin the video earlier and my damn recorder stopped working as i got into the clutch, so maybe no video I'm gonna see what i can do.

Here's a surprise, I got it all apart, and found out that Ken has already hooked me up with this mod! Thanks, Bro, (like I needed more experience removing the clutch assembly!) Well I got to make a new tool! It's the inner clutch basket holder, Have to give Ken the props here, he is the one who came up with the idea, I just "borrowed it' Cost $0. Here's a pic-

Maybe I'll throw in a bonus gift to the winner??? HMMMM... :o

Well, we are working on a polished clutch cover to toss into this contest, as another member has sparked our interest- stay tuned!
