Need some ideas for hop up

Just bought a really clean 2005 blaster with the red frame for $1200. Think I got a pretty good deal, it is completly stock though, looking to do a .40 over kit but I dont know what is best. What is the best "things" to buy to give it better acceleration?

.040 over kit? you mean a big bore kit because they are not the same thing. anyways. get an exhaust get it ported get the head shaved. get a better carb a better air filter. take the airbox lid off and get some aftermarket reeds and that thing will scream

.040 means its less than a few mm over stock bore. a big bore kit is 240cc its 72mm piston la sleeve and vitos are the two most popular. there are lots of anti vitos people on this site. but everyones results will vary. i personally have a vitos 240 kit. the main key to getting any 240 kit to be super powerful is to get it ported

there are many different 240 kits. there is vitos, la sleeve co. (which i reccomend), trinity racing used to make a 265 big bore kit... basically a stock top end is 66mm. a .040 over will make you a 67mm piston. a 240 kit will give you a 72mm piston. and as for porting there many different people for that as well. you can click the link in noobers sig, click the link in my sig, theres angus kennedy of kennedy powersports... each partial to their own

Wow thats pretty sick and thanks for the help. The porting definitely looks like it does wonders, so say I order a vitos 240 big bore kit. Do i send it to one of the companys to get it ported?
