i only ride trails, never been on a mx track... although i do want to see if its any fun. because i only ride trails i want to stay away from any long a-arm or swing arm upgrades, so my question is more engine mods, or move to the suspension and brakes and leave my engine as is (in sig)
if i was to do the engine i would add:
complete powernow system
boost bottle
if i was to do the suspension/brakes i would add:
fox air shocks in the front
elka rear piggy back shock
front hydraulic discs
rear hydraulic conversion
this will most likely be the last upgrade i add for at least another year:(

if your on trails, suspension is really important because of going over obstacles, but its also important for mx because of jumping, so it would be good for both, i'd start on the suspension because the Powernow is good but the boost bottle is basicly just decoration for the blaster. there made for the banshee because of the 2 carburetors, they connect to the 2 intake boots to keep the pressure equal. for the blaster it may give a little better throttle response but you have to drill a hole in the top of your intake boot which could cause problems later. i've got hydraulic brakes on mine and they work good.
just my opinion, hope it helps

yeah totally agreed. dont get a boost bottle, they do absolutely nothing!
just a waste of money. you should get some of both. upgrade your suspension and your motor.

go with suspension its a most for both mx and trail riding after you have suspension get the longer a-arms adn after that wel i dont really know,if you odnt have k&n air filter put that and maybe bore it out to i odnt know 250?

hmmm... well we'v already talked about the boost bottle so i wont beat a dead horse,
theres a big dollar difference between a powermad and boost bottle"a hundred mabey 2"
and the 12 or $1500 in suspension work you jotted down up there,,
my prices may be a bit off i dunno but not that far.
i dont know what else you have done but.....
the first things you do to a blaster are oil injection blockoff, new tires and i would go with alumin offset wheels because a stock blaster is not so stable..hydro brakes are nice but me,,, i cosider my options i would go mabey with a rear hydro and take the few hundred dollars left and by a rad valve and some tires and wheels...
now you hit brakes, performance, stability and looks with the same stone you would have thrown at some brakes....
/something like this is just my opinion

my advice to you is this... if you are not going to do some serious racing then save your money and don't buy those expensive shocks. With the money you are going to spend on those 3 shocks you can upgrade to a diamond J + 4.5 front end(since you don't want to be to wide for the trails) with shock conversion and get some yfz 450 shocks for the front and a 400ex rear shock and still have money to do some motor work. I don't know exactly how much the Fox shocks are but IMO not worth the money just to do trail riding when that money could be spent else were.
