Ok, so on my last thread i asked about the kicker on the other blaster i got wednesday night. yesterday I couldn't get it to idle for nothing. We took the carb to tear it down and clean it. It was missing all the screws and the bowl was being held on with two screws and they weren't even tight. We got the screws, cleaned the carb and put it back on. we had it started and trying to tune it and get it to idle and it ran off, like it broke wide open, i flipped the kill switch but it kept going, so i reached over and shut the gas off and backed away cuase we couldn't kill it. after about 30-35 seconds it slowed down and quit. I haven't tried starting it, I just pushed it in the garage and made some phone calls but my luck everyone i knew was clueless about 2-strokes..... So what should i do?

Does it still have the oil injection? There's a nipple that needs to be capped if you don't?
Did you tighten the cap on the carb good? Rubber washer under cap?
Did you notice any splits on intake boot?
A run away motor is usually a sign of an air leak. I would get a leak tester on that thing and track down the source.

No it doesn't have oil injection, i believe that it is capped off. But yeah i'll get the stuff to do a leak down, my uncle has a tester. Oh but if it takes of ever again and i put it in gear and dump the clutch, with it being wide open won't it just take off?
